After 20 successful years of combined service with Gordon Food Service, George Monahan and Pat Power formed the Clover Group to provide high value consulting specifically for foodservice, an industry underserved by high-end consulting firms.

Among the most respected companies in foodservice, GFS leads the way in innovation, process discipline and strong relationships.  George and Pat led the marketing and procurement teams that were responsible for preserving and expanding this heritage.  

Prior to their marketing and procurement tenure with GFS, George and Pat enjoyed a diverse range of experiences which they leverage to develop innovative solutions to foodservice’s most intractable problems.  Pat has rich experiences in finance, product development and operations.  He’s worked for a manufacturer and distributor in foodservice and also has significant experience with a Fortune 500 durable goods manufacturer.

George also has a cross-functional background working in finance, corporate strategy and pricing roles.  He’s worked with large publicly-traded firms and small family businesses.  George also has international experience – using his Japanese language skills to live and work in Japan for a boutique market research firm.

George and Pat both have MBA degrees from the University of Michigan and deep Midwest roots that serve as the foundation of their work ethic and approach to business relationships.
